Service Description

Wet felting is a crafting technique where animal fibers, primarily wool, are turned into a fabric by wetting them and then agitating them. This causes the fibers to shrink and interlock with each other, creating a solid piece of felt. In this course, students will transform soft wool fibers into a felted fabric bag. Students will layer wool, create simple designs, and manipulate fibers on top of a form in order to create a unique felted project. During the second session, students will return to their dried bags to make the final touches, including adding the straps and hardware to their purses. This is a course that meets twice. The first session is 5 hours, and the second is 2 hours. No experience necessary! All materials are included. Hope to see you there!
