Service Description

In this course, students will learn to make their own ceramic candle votive on the pottery wheel and will then craft a candle from scratch to go inside of their handmade vessel. During the first session, students will learn the basics of throwing clay on the pottery wheel and make their own candle votive with oversight from our instructors. At the end of this session, students will select a glaze for their respective vessels and our team will prepare them for the next meeting. In the second session, students will explore candle making using a variety of materials and scents. You will learn how to insert a wick in the votive, pour wax, and add just the right amount of fragrance to create a personalized candle that reflects your unique style. This is a two-hour class that meets twice. No experience necessary! All materials are included.
