Service Description

Sgraffito pottery is a style of ceramics in which designs are carved, or scratched, into the surface for decorative purposes. Students will learn how to decorate their own functional, ceramic plate using this carving technique. Our team will demonstrate several methods, but design is all up to you! Students will have an opportunity to choose the color of underglaze used for their plate and will then carve their designs. This is a fun and relaxing chance to unplug and get creative. Our team will clear glaze and fire the work. For your convenience, the plate will be shipped to you three weeks from the class date with no additional charge- no pickup necessary! This workshop is open to all levels- no experience necessary. All materials will be included. Can't wait to see you there!
