Come explore the Art of Paper-Making in this fun and fundamental workshop led by EAC artist, Leslie K. Gray. We'll learn a little about the cultural and historical background of this essential art form, then you'll be guided in the basic technique for creating your own handmade sheets! Get your hands a little wet and dive into the beautiful & ancient craft of making paper! Open to all ages (10 and under must be accompanied by an adult, please) No experience necessary. All materials will be included, but any recycled junk mail, bits of bling, and any shiny, leafy, nature-y stuff will add your own magic! Can't wait to see you there! Leslie K. Gray is a teaching artist specializing in puppetry, theatre, and installation. Her three bus stops installation for Descanso Gardens' 2025 acclaimed shade-equity show, ROOTS OF COOL, were highlights of the exhibit.
