Announcing Element Art Center’s First-Ever Fuse Glass Coaster Workshop!

We’re excited to launch our very first glass fusion class at Element Art Center: the Fuse Glass Coaster Workshop! This beginner-friendly class is the perfect way to dip your toes into the creative world of fused glass and walk away with a set of four truly unique coasters—ready to display or use at home.

Students can make 4 coasters!

What is Glass Fusion?

Glass fusion is a fascinating art technique where pieces of glass are stacked or layered together and then heated in a kiln. When the glass gets hot enough, it melts and bonds, transforming into one seamless, colorful piece of art. Because of this magical process, even simple designs can become vibrant, eye-catching works—making glass fusion approachable and fun for artists and beginners alike!

Workshop Details

In this two-hour class, you’ll use recycled glass pieces to design four coasters on top of clear 4”x4” glass panels. The best part? You don’t have to be an artist to make something beautiful! Bold, simple shapes—whether abstract patterns or recognizable images—work wonderfully in glass fusion. After you arrange and glue your designs, our team will take care of the kiln-firing process for you.

Students can make the same or different designs on each coaster!

What to Expect

• All Materials Included: We provide everything you need for fuse glass—just bring your creativity!

• Make Four Coasters: You’ll design and assemble up to four unique coasters.

• No Experience Needed: This class is designed for complete beginners.

• Eco-Friendly: We use recycled glass to keep things sustainable.

• Easy and Fun: Our instructors will guide you every step of the way.
